As you know I am working on becoming a better neighbor. This has been my goal since I needed my neighbors to get me out of a sticky situation recently. So when I heard that same neighbor was in the hospital I made these and took them upstairs.
Well on Saturday, Mrs neighbor came down to ask us for help and she gave us this! A basket full of fresh from the farm eggs! Wow! I was so excited and now the door is open for more sharing! I am looking forward to this growing relationship. I look forward to knowing more about their culture and the country they come from. The kids and I have been up there to visit with them a couple of times. We have met the grandma who lives in Switzerland. I have not met the grandpa who lives there, because he is often sick and in the hospital. The daughters are teachers and the sons are still in school.
They are so sweet and hospitable. Once when I was home alone with the kids for the week, she brought down dinner. I thought that was so sweet. It tasted really good and she was excited to share with us some food from her country.
I am returning the basket with scones later this week after I finish using all the eggs!!
