Camp Mom is in full swing! We spent several hours at the community swim pool on Saturday, had friends over and ended our day by setting up a tent. We don't have a yard so we were planning to camp out in our tent on the terrace. Our tent was too wide and we had to go to plan B. My awesome husband built used the tent canopy to make us and indoor tent. We pulled the kids mattresses out of their rooms to make a comfy place to sleep. It was fun. As we climbed into our tent we heard fireworks so we went out on the balcony to watch them for a while. It was the perfect end to the day.
We camped out under the tent Saturday night, and the kids had so much fun playing on the beds all day Sunday we just slept on them without the tent Sunday night. We had a picnic with peanut butter and honey sandwiches, and spent the afternoon playing. It was about 100 F outside today so we tried to stay out of the eat in the afternoon.
We created folders and a Camp Central for all things Camp Mom. We have a master list, and several other little info sheets that I made from sheet protectors and tape. This way each night I can prepare them for what is ahead the next day. I can wipe it off and save paper. In their folders they have behavior charts, a place to keep track of rewards and accomplishments. Again they participated in getting everything organized. We are going to the Zoo to work on our nature badges tomorrow.
