A Week of Praying with Children

Why pray with your children?  I like to pray with my kids to help them learn the importance and habit of prayer.

It doesn't have to be be complicated. Just model to your kids how easy it is to talk to God. Some of my favorite moments as a parent have been at night listening to their sweet, earnest and real prayers.

They usually thank God for the things that fill their mind. It is a beautiful opportunity for me to know what is on their little hearts and filling up their minds.

As they grow it is a powerful tool to help them cope with things they encounter in their lives. My oldest will often ask me to pray for her friends or things that are going on at school.

This week I will be talking about some of the ways we can pray with our kids.
