"Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees." Corrie ten Boom
When I was in my early 20's I had this routine that helped to keep me accountable. I would wake up at 5 before anyone else and make tea. I would take my Prayer Journal (the one I mentioned here) and I would set 2 spots. I spent an hour in prayer.
Now that looks a little bit different. I no longer have so much time just for my self. I have a family now, but I still need to work on my relationship with the Father. My prayer appointments are most often through the day when I have a minute here or there.
I have really missed that time in my life. I have had a longing to get back to that type of quiet time. Since August 20, I have been waking up before my family to have quiet time. I have been able to do this thanks the Hello Mornings Challenge.
It feels really good to be establishing a routine again that focuses my mind, life and day in the right way. I strongly recommend trying to set an appointment with God. It will do your heart good and change your life!
