Have you heard that the History Channel is coming out with a new series from the Bible? I received an email about it this week. I am looking forward to watching this series. I wanted to tell you all about it as well.
Here is a little bit about the series:
From Executive Producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett comes The Bible — an epic 10-part miniseries retelling stories from the Scriptures for a whole new generation. Breathtaking in scope and scale, The Bible features powerful performances, exotic locales and dazzling visual effects that breathe spectacular life into the dramatic tales of faith and courage from Genesis through Revelation. This historic television event is sure to entertain and inspire the whole family! Where will YOU be 3.3.13?
I was able to look a few short scenes and now you can too. Just click on the widget in this post. The History Channel provided me with this cool widget so you can check out some of the awesome clips from their upcoming series.
I will also be hosting a giveaway on the blog. The winner will win a copy of one of these official Bible companion books from the History Channel.
• A Story of God and All of Us (HARDCOVER)
• A Story of God and All of Us (REFLECTIONS)
• A Story of God and All of Us (YOUNG READERS)
Be sure and check out the release of a new clip from the series each day. Tell your friends, family and Bible class to tune in each Sunday night. Don't forget to enter the giveaway and pin this post to remind you AND spread the word. I think this will be a great series. I have been really impressed with the stuff they sent to promote it.
While we are talking about the Bible...I have always wanted to read the Bible straight thru. I have decided to start in March. I will blog my way through it. I think watching this series on Sundays will provide some great visuals as I do. Have you ever read through the entire Bible. I invite anyone who is interested to join me! I will be using the Bible reading guide from Mom's Toolbox. I would love to know others who have, or are interested in reading the entire Bible.
Ok so now onto the GIVEAWAY!!!

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that the widget didn't work for you. Try to refresh the page and try again. I am sad to miss you again at the reunion. We are arriving in the states the following week. I appreciate you stopping by my blog and I love your paper crafting and your blog too! I am thrilled we are still in touch after 20 years!!!
DeleteHi Tamika. I found your blog through the Prayer Dare challenge over at A Royal Daughter. I am glad I found you! I must say that I am so excited to see this new series on the History channel. I just watched the clip and I was so moved by listening to Jesus share at the last supper. Seeing this scene come to life is always stirring to me. I can't imagine what it was like to be knowingly sharing the last moments of one's life with those you know will betray you. Stunning. On another note, I am excited about this giveaway. I hope I win. :)What great additions to the library.
ReplyDeleteHi Dedra!
DeleteThanks so much for coming by the blog. I thought the clips were moving too! I am looking forward to watching the series too! Good luck on the giveaway!
I wish we in Europe would be able to watch this series as it premiers today. I saw the Last Supper clip, and it's pretty powerful. I can't wait to watch this film (whenever I get a chance) and reimagine the scenes of the Bible that I've always pictured in my head a certain way.
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley!
DeleteThanks for coming by. I know I wish we could see it here too. I am setting it up to record on our slingbox at my parents house. I wish there was a way for us to see it all together.
